Dub Hike
It’s easy to step in the van and head west from Korcula town in search of forgotten past. At a place where a local road connects to the trail you will step out of the vehicle and start walking through nature to discover an abandoned hamlet. Before long, first houses appear and as you stroll around this, once small and nowadays non-existing community, you wonder about life they used to have away from bigger villages.
Then the story goes on and when you get to the road again there will be a transfer to take you to the starting point of the trail winding uphill to the hill of Hum. Arrived there, the mind-blowing all-around view from the top will surpass the effort that served to get you there. Once again we’ll talk about the history of the area and find out why the Austro-Hungarian monarchy had decided to build a fort right there.
The transfer will get there to pick you up and drive down the hill to the biggest island’s village of Blato, so near, yet out of main tourist routes.
Next there is a time-travel visit to an ethnographic museum followed by a tasty meal in a local tavern and finally return transfer to Korcula.
