LASTOVO SPEED BOAT DAY TOUR

THE LAST FRONTIER

Scarcely inhabited and being an open sea island Lastovo is one of those places whose rugged charm is very likely to captivate you beyond expectations.

However, this protected nature park is not just one island – it's an archipelago of 46 islands, islets and rocks scattered east – west in the depths of the Adriatic sea.

Throughout turbulent whether distant or more recent history and also due to particular geopolitical circumstances it's been an isolated and remote place even by current (Croatian) standards. As a consequence it has remained “different“ and in a way preserved from modern tourist development and routes which is evident in local traditions some of which are nowhere be found in any other island community around the Mediterreanean.

Speed boat takes you from the town of Korcula to Lastovo nature park, first for a swim, then the cruising continues along the coast of Lastovo with some stunning moments and a couple of other stops before lunch break in a local family-run place for a great food stop.

One option in this tour is to spend more time on the water and enjoy swimming / snorkeling as much as possible while the other one is to visit the old town of Lastovo situated away from the coast and exploring it requires about an hour and a half hours including short transfers.

In the afternoon the speed boat will take you back to the old town of Korcula.
