The Cave of the Brave
Private Tour: Korcula - Hvar
Forget stories about so-called hidden beaches everyone is selling – this is a real treat for those with a will to do and a soul to dare something completely different…and who can hold their breath for about 20 seconds and are not claustrophobic!
There is nothing wrong about the Blue cave – in fact it is gorgeous to visit in terms of its beauty, except for one thing – it tends to be overcrowded and waiting your turn to enter could test your patience. Not to mention that once you are there the clock is ticking really fast and all that blues…
Well, this story is different – The cave of the brave is out of tourists’ or even locals’ ways, it is as unique as any other truly special spot in this world where the expectation of getting and exaltation of being there exceeds tours’ descriptions.
DEPARTURE FROM KORCULA:
We meet in the port, (or any other agreed place) hop on a speedboat and head on to Hvar island but first there is a stop in a nice spot for a morning walk, a swim or both, depending on the conditions on the sea.
DEPARTURE FROM HVAR:
We meet in the port, (or any other agreed place) hop on a speedboat and start exploring the south side of Hvar. The first stop is at a little cove where a warm-up dive&swim takes you to a little open top cave and prepares you for the main course to follow. We proceed towards stunning rocks to admire these creative formations in form of colourful vertical cliffs over crystal water after which there is few more miles to go.
WHETHER YOU ARE COMING FROM KORCULA AND HVAR THE STORY FROM HERE GOES ON THE SAME:
Then we arrive where a rugged coast hides a gem you are about to discover. The cave cannot be entered in a boat but you need to dive through a 3.5 meter horizontal hole just under water surface. Once you complete the dive your eyes start getting used to the dark inside that goes lighter with every step as you walk on down the corridor widening into a chamber that at its end has a finest pebble beach to come out to!
A beach inside the cave - mind-blowing!!! The shades of blue spilled over water reflect the sunlight breaking discreetly in through another underwater opening thus creating pure magic inside the cave that once was used by monk seals to bring their cubs into this world…
Relax…
The pleasure comes from feeling safe – before any dive our guides will explain the procedure and be close to you every step of the way to make sure you enter and exit the cave trouble free.
Optional: when you come out of the cave back into the sunlight we’ll take you on to a place to have a lunch in a bay in order to feel more vibes of this less frequented but ever more so authentic corner of the Mediterranean.
Back to Korcula or Hvar town you’ll be left with a new set of memories and a story to tell (but please not to everyone, just the ones you hold dear)!
